1 cup Maggie noodles

2 medium onions, thinly sliced

3 cloves of garlic, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon oyster sauce (optional)

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 can of Fanta (any flavor), 330ml

2 tablespoons chopped scallions for garnish

1 tablespoon grated ginger for added depth (optional)

1. Cook the Maggie noodles according to the package instructions, then set aside.

2. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

3. Add the sliced onions to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized and golden brown (about 20 minutes).

4. Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), sugar, black pepper, and salt.

6. Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the onions and garlic, and pour the sauce mixture over the top.

7. Stir everything together, ensuring the noodles are well coated with the sauce and onion mixture.

8. Pour in the Fanta, and stir gently to combine.

9. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

10. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.

11. Garnish with chopped scallions and grated ginger (if using), and serve hot.
